Harvesting

Harvesting is one of the busiest and crucial periods in the vineyard Reflecting on fruit quality Nepenthe understands the importance of meeting winery deadlines with the best possible fruit sample.

Nepenthe are seasoned campaigners during this hectic period. Our experienced team consists of expert machine operators and fully qualified technicians available on call 24 hours.

We will also assign you a designated grower liaison officer. This person will help Co-ordinate your harvest and if desired can liase with wineries and transport companies to ensure your delivery deadlines are met.

Nepenthe boasts a fleet of 6 machines, each having there own strengths and suitability. We also have a vast range of support equipment as well as experienced hand harvesting teams.

Self propelled harvesters:

Consisting of two Pellenc 3400 series multifunction harvester and one state of the art Pellenc 4580 series multifunction TPI harvester.

These harvesters have been designed to pick fruit under all conditions .The Integrated transmission system (TPI) makes this an ideal machine for any steep terrain.

Tow behind harvesters:

3 High capacity G65 tow behind harvesters.

These are strong robust picking machines with automatic steering systems. Suitable for flat and undulating vineyards. They can easily handle a range of trellising including Single cordon and double cordon vineyards

Support equipment:

Nepenthe also has a large fleet of support equipment ensuring efficent harvesting and fruit handling. Items include:

• Bin trailers
• Gondolas
• All terrain fork lift
• Chase Tractors and operators
• Portable toilets

Hand Harvesting:

Experienced teams under expert supervision with support equipment available if required.
